NCWN-West to sponsor a Bookfest for Writers, at the Moss Memorial Library, Hayesville, NC, on Saturday, March 24, 2018



BOOKFEST:
Saturday, March 24, 2018, Noon to 4 PM,
at the Moss Memorial Library, 26 Anderson Street, Hayesville, NC

Admission is free!

 Author Speakers include:

Carol Crawford: Author, Poet, Editor
Deanna Klingel: Author, Writer of YA and Children’s’ Lit
Tom Davis: Author of Memoir, Publisher
Polly Davis: Author of Memoir, College Professor
Lisa Turner: Author, Writer of “How to: books

Author/members of NCWN-West, will sign books, talk about publishing & marketing, will give tips & advice, based on their personal experiences.

Drawings for door prizes: will be held throughout the PM, including a free writing class at Writers Circle around the Table in Hayesville, NC and free editing by Carol Crawford of up to thirty pages of your writing.

Round Robin Reading with Poets and Prose writers at Coffee with the Poets and Writers, at the Moss Memorial Library, Hayesville, NC, Wednesday, November 15, 2017



On November 15th, 2017, at 10:30 AM, the North Carolina Writers’ Network-West will host Coffee with the Poets and Writers at the Moss Memorial Library. The event will be round-robin style, with several members reading from their works for approximately 40 minutes. Members will include: Glenda Council Beall, Joan Ellen Gage, Bob Grove, Joan M. Howard, Mary Ricketson, and Carroll Taylor. 

After the member readings, guest attendees will be invited to read their work. All open Mic readings will be approximately 3 minutes.

Poet Mary A.Ricketson to read at Coffee with the Poets and Writers at the Moss Memorial Library, Hayesville, NC, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 10:30 AM



On Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 10:30 AM, poet Mary A. Ricketson will read at Coffee with the Poets and Writers, at the Moss Memorial Library, 26 Anderson St., Hayesville, NC. The public is welcome, and an open mic will follow the reading.


Ricketson, from Murphy, NC, has been writing poetry for 20 years; to satisfy a hunger, to taste life down to the very last drop. Her poetry has been published in journals and anthologies. Ricketson has two books, I Hear the River Call my Name and Hanging Dog Creek

Ricketson is the Cherokee County Representative for the North Carolina Writers’ Network-West, and is the president of Ridgeline Literary Alliance in Murphy, NC.
