Henderson County



Henderson County's Literary Open Mic Night is held on the third Monday of each month from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Henderson County Public Library, 301 N. Washington St., in Hendersonville, NC.

Poets, fiction writers, playwrights, essayists, and memoirists are welcomed. Time limits are actively encouraged and vary, depending on the month, between 3 - 5 minutes for poets and 5 - 7 minutes for prose writers. Sign-in, meet and greet begins at 5:30 PM., and reading begins at 6. Sponsored by the North Carolina Writers' Network-West, a program of the NCWN, hosted by the Henderson County Public Library. "In the Company of Writers"

Second Wednesday of every month at 7pm, at the Brandy Bar on 7th. Each meeting begins with a presentation by featured local authors and ends with an open mic. Bleeding Lessons

Held on the first wednesday of every month, Bleeding Lessons, is a craft lesson, exercise, and discussion led by a variety of local authors/teachers.
