Open-Mic

Henderson County's Literary Open Mic Night is held on the third Monday of each month from 5:30 - 7:30 PM at the Henderson County Public Library, 301 N. Washington St., in Hendersonville. 

Poets, fiction writers, playwrights, essayists, and memoirists are welcomed. Time limits are actively encouraged and vary, depending on the month, between 3 - 5 minutes for poets and 5 - 7 minutes for prose writers. Sign-in, meet and greet begins at 5:30 PM., and reading begins at 6. Sponsored by the North Carolina Writers' Network-West, a program of the NCWN, hosted by the Henderson County Public Library. WORDSMITHS Writers Group

Meets every other Wednesday,11 AM-1 PM.. Meetings are held at Quotations Cafe on 147 E Main St, Brevard. The group has been meeting for ten years, reading manuscripts and discussing craft and, at the present time, is closed to membership as we cannot accommodate more writers in the time space or meeting room space.
