N.C. Writers Network West Has Lost One of our Strongest Supporters.
N.C. Writers Network West Has Lost One of our Strongest Supporters. Barry Beall of Hayesville died July 21, 2009. Barry was not a writer, but he gave his support to our members. He was always supporting Glenda Beall, our Program Coordinator in her job. He went to get copies and delivered copies and set up for workshops. He set up for the annual picnic and took our pictures and came to hear us read. Barry Beall will be missed.
Barry will definitely be missed. In fact, look above this post to see the beautiful lake that graces the header of our blog. This is one of Barry's photographs. Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenda and her family as she goes through this sad time. We all hope she returns home to us in the mountains soon.

So sad, I still can't believe Barry is gone. He was one special soul and will be greatly missed. I loved his photography, his sense of humor, generosity and positive input. He and Glenda could not have been more perfectly matched.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I haven't known Barry long-from the first day I met him-he quickly entered my heart. I loved his sense of humor-and most of all his cheerful positive attitude. Every time I saw him-I liked him more. I'm very sad he won't be returning to his beloved home on the mountain-but I'm even sadder for Glenda. She loved him so.
ReplyDeleteAs a neighbor and adoptee (thanks to Glenda) of Netwest, I must send my heartfelt sympathy to everyone who depends on friends and supporters like Barry, but especially to Glenda. More than most, I know how you feel. Bless you. Know that your support group is beside you--literally and figuratively will help.
ReplyDeleteWith my prayers and thoughts and hopes--

My heart goes out to Glenda and her family. I'm so sorry about Barry. He was so faithful to attend the NCWN-W meetings and take photos. We will all miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Glenda.
ReplyDeleteI did not know Barry, yet I saw him there, in the corner of Glenda's writing. I know he will be a loss to all; but, especially to Glenda. May her writing comfort her.
ReplyDeleteBarry was a prince. We have been so lucky to know and love him.
