Bob Grove's poem about an old house received honorable mention.
Brenda Kay Ledford's poem, "Beckoning," won first place in the Clay County Historical and Arts' Council Poetry Contest. She read her poem during "Evening With the Arts" at Hayesville High School Lecture Hall on May 5.Other adults who won the poetry contest include: Amber Johnson, honorable mention and Mrs. Lamar Chastain, third place.
